Warranties for Colorado vNet Hardware and Software Products

LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY

WHAT IS COVERED:

Colorado vNet warrants each new System, for a period as defined below from the date of purchase of the system by an authorized Colorado vNet system integrator, to be free from defects in materials or workmanship under conditions of normal use and specified ambient temperature when installed and operated in accordance with vNet product specifications, applicable National Electrical Code provisions, and Safety Standards of Underwriter's Laboratories.

The full commitment of this warranty is extended to the End User (homeowner or building owner) purchasing the Colorado vNet system from an authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator. However all End User access to warranty provisions, must be made and managed by an authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator. Due to local installation, programming and application considerations an End User must work through an authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator to make any warranty claim.

This warranty covers Colorado vNet factory diagnosis of problems with the System and the cost of Colorado vNet factory labor (except as provided below) for repair, replacement, or adjustment (at vNet's option) of any and all vNet components, as necessary to restore the System to normal operation.

WARRANTY PERIOD:

Vibe Video System Products
Vibe Video System products include a one-year replacement parts program for credit against the purchase price upon return of a defective part.

Wireless Lighting & Control System Products
Wireless Lighting and Control System products include a two-year replacement parts program for credit against the purchase price upon return of a defective part.

All Other Colorado vNet Products
Products purchased with vNet factory commissioning include an eight-year replacement parts program for credit against the purchase price upon return of a defective part at the following rates:

100% for the first 2 years from date of purchase
50% for years 3, 4, and 5 from date of purchase
25% for years 6, 7, and 8 from date of purchase

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

  1. Damage or improper operation determined by Colorado vNet to be due to abuse, misuse, or accident, such as:
    1. Use of incorrect line voltages;
    2. Use of incorrect fuses or breakers;
    3. Failure to follow operating instructions provided by Colorado vNet;
    4. Failure to maintain and operate equipment in accordance with applicable National Electrical Code provisions, and in accordance with Safety Standards of Underwriters Laboratories;
    5. Failure to maintain equipment under specified ambient temperature;
    6. Vandalism; and
    7. Fire, flood, lightening strike, "Acts of God", and other problems beyond the control of Colorado vNet.
  2. Labor costs to remove and reinstall Colorado vNet equipment, other auxiliary equipment, electronic fixture packs and/or ballasts.
  3. Components and equipment external to the Colorado vNet Hardware, such as:
    1. Lamps
    2. Ballasts, sockets, and fixtures
    3. Wiring between ballasts and lamps
    4. Building wiring between dimmer panels and lamps
    5. Building wiring between controls and control or dimmer panels
    6. Time clocks
    7. Audio-visual equipment
    8. Motion detectors
  4. Unauthorized or improper repairs or adjustments.
  5. The cost of repairing or replacing equipment other than the System
  6. Equipment not commissioned by a Colorado vNet authorized systems integrator

If a problem on a service call is diagnosed by a Colorado vNet authorized systems integrator as a non-covered problem, Colorado vNet will no longer provide service under this warranty unless the customer covers the cost of the service call at the then current service pricing as supplied by a Colorado vNet authorized systems integrator.

 

SOFTWARE WARRANTIES

SYSTEM INTEGRATOR, INTERNAL USE SOFTWARE WARRANTY:

Colorado vNet warrants that the Internal Use Software for a period of ninety (90) days after delivery to System Integrator will perform substantially in accordance with the vNet Documentation therefore. vNet shall, at its expense, provide a correction or workaround for any reproducible errors that may be discovered in the Internal Use Software and reported to Colorado vNet by System Integrator during the warranty period and deliver an updated version to System Integrator. This warranty shall not apply if the Internal Use Software is used or altered in any manner other than normal use, including, without limitation, unauthorized or improper modifications or adjustments to the Internal Use Software, misuse, abuse or negligence.

END USER, DISTRIBUTED SOFTWARE WARRANTY:

Colorado vNet warrants to the End User ONLY that the Distributed Software will perform without error for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of purchase when integrated into the System in accordance with the vNet Documentation.

 

HOW TO GET SERVICE

By contract, all Colorado vNet warranty claims and transactions are conducted between an authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator and Colorado vNet. All end user warranty claims and transactions should be conducted between the end user and the authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator associated with their project.

End User Warranty Claim Process:
Promptly notify your authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator, within the warranty period that you believe the System is defective. The authorized Colorado vNet systems integrator will assess the situation and evaluate the fault and work with Colorado vNet Technical Support to fully define the appropriate warranty response.

Colorado vNet authorized systems integrator Warranty Claim Process:
Promptly notify Colorado vNet, within the warranty period, by calling the Technical Support Group at 970.203.3737 or 888.864.0303, that you believe the System is defective. The Technical Support Group will give you an RMA number, if it is appropriate to return the defective product to vNet.
