Known Issues
Multistate Option in Script Building
Description:
When building scripts and using the multistate option and having only 1
multistate level may cause vNetBuilder to crash in version 4.6.75.
Note: If using
Multistate with 2 or more states vNetBuilder will not exhibit this fault.
Work Around:
Configure more than one level of multistate before running simulator and/or
uploading script files.
Timers
Description: When
creating timers within Colorado vNet Builder where events 1 & 2 are based relative
to sunset or sunrise and they cross the midnight boundary event (1) or event
(2) will not fire in vNet Builder Release 4.6.75.
Work Around:
Use a (primary) timer and (secondary) timer to start and stop timed events
Bridge Module Connection
Description: Error
dialog box appears when using vNet Builder 4.6.75 on Windows Vista when attempting
to connect to a site created in vNet Builder without an Ethernet cable plugged
in. An Error dialog box appears stating
"Could not build a local socket to the bridge. Please
make sure a network connection exists and try again"
If the user presses the OK button without establishing the
connection vNetBuilder may crash.
Steps that could cause error:
If the user attempts to connect to a (new site) without an
Ethernet connection present.
Work Around: Connect
Windows Vista machine to router and make sure Bridge Module is connected router
as well.
CG1-1
Description: An
error occurs when using vNet Builder 4.6.75 and connecting a CG1-1 to an
(External Device) then uploading scripts and then connecting the same CG1-1 to
an (Appliance)both within the vNet Builder software and re-uploading scripts to
the device, the CG1-1 will output a (255 Invalid string) message when you send
an invalid command. This can be found by having the CG1-1 connected to a CPU
using a terminal emulation program such as HyperTerminal or Terra Term.
Steps that could cause this error:
1.
Commission a site with the CG1-1
connected to an (External Device) that controls several loads.
2.
Connect the DB9 cable from the
CG1-1 to COM port 1 on the CPU and use the application "Terra
Terminal" to verify the output on the Monitor.
3.
Upload scripts and verify
functionality.
4.
Now in vNet Builder Change the
(External Device) to an (Appliance) and configure it with Macros and then have
a Touchpad control the Appliance.
5.
Continue to have the CG1-1's DB9
cable connected to the CPU and upload scripts.
6.
Press the Enter button on the
keyboard.
RESULT: Notice that the CG1-1 is displaying (255 Invalid
String) on the monitor.
Work Around:
The work around for this issue is after uploading scripts you power down the
CG1-1 and then reconnect power it will function properly.
User Account Control - UAC
Description:
When using Windows Vista and Windows 7 with UAC turned ON, users are not able
to create sites or modify existing sites.
Work Around:
Adjust the User Account Control from ON to OFF

Release: 4.1.37
Date: 5/28/2009 12:00:00 AM
Firmware: Includes vNet Builder Firmware version 4.15.00 and vNet Audio Firmware version A.8.3.22
Recommended For:
- New Installations
- Existing installations that require the new features or resolution of specific issues addressed by this release
Enhancements:
- Adds conditional logic programming, replacing governance.
- Adds multi-state buttons
- Adds direct LED control (control touchpad/keypad LEDs as loads)
- Improves Control Parameters screen for easier programming
- Adds control button grouping on touchscreens
- Improves timers
- Adds Control Parameters and Relationships tabs directly to timers setup window for easier programming
- Timers that aren't set to occur every day can now have event 1 on one day and event 2 on the next.
- Adds support for Advance Mark VII and Lutron ECO-10 TVE fluorescent dimming ballasts
- Installs
side-by-side on the same computer with earlier versions of Builder.
(Note - can not have multiple versions of Builder running at the same
time.)
- Adds "Number of Buttons" option to touchscreens to hide unused buttons from programming screens
- Adds support for wireless system channel change feature
Issues Resolved:
- Fixed issue in which the simulator could ignore an initial delay on a button
- Fixed issue in which ganging loads together after connecting to a Wireless Touchpad Dimmer could cause an error
- Fixed issue in which vNet Builder would not allow a load greater than 1000W to be connected to a Wireless Wall Plug Switch
- Fixed issue in which modified timers would not get uploaded when uploading modified scripts only
- Numerous miscellaneous bug fixes
Known Issues & Changes To Be Aware Of:
- Timers do not get converted during a Builder 3 to Builder 4 upgrade. All timers will need to be created.
- During
the conversion of governance to conditional logic, any button that ONLY
governed will no longer do anything. It will need to be manually
changed to directly control its own LED in order for the conditional
programming to work correctly.
- On the Bridge Status window, the error timestamp will only update after the 6th failure during firmware/script uploads
- If a button controlling a motor pair has an initial delay, this delay will not be reflected in the simulator.
- When using conditional logic, the LED behavior applies to the "default" action
- Removes pricing from BOM
- Removes vacation mode option. Vacation settings should be enabled using timers.
- RS-232 Appliances, and Drawn Objects that were previously
created in Builder 3 (or earlier) must be manually imported into
Builder 4. The easiest way to do this is to create a site in Builder 3
with one of everything you wish to convert. Make a vArc of that site
and them import the site into Builder 4.
- Custom Loads that were previously created in Builder 4 can not be imported into Builder 4. For assistance moving custom loads to Builder 4, please contact technical support.
- Double clicking a .varc file will no longer open vNet Builder since the .varc could be either a Builder 3 or Builder 4 file.
